Hi,

Is there a way to split a solid part or assembly into two halves in ProE.

For e.g. if I have an assembly with 2 parts. I want to bisect the assembly into two halves creating 4 different parts. Is it possible to do this in ProE ?
Any suggestion/advice to do this ?
Thanks in advance,
SS

Pro/E doesn't support multi-body parts like solidworks does. I don't know if there is some way to do this in an assembly or not.

You could split the part using instances of a generic where each instance has a cut operation to remove half of the part.

Hard to tell what you are really wanting to do, but seems like you could use some datum planes and solidify to the sides you want..it used to be called .. cut:use quilt
