Hi,

I am doing simulations with LS-DYNA and fluid is one big problem in my current project. I used *mat_elastic_fluid to simulate it, but there is great difficulties using this simple model. Physically, fluid could easily seperate itself. However, this is not applicable using this elastic fluid material model, since there is no failure criterion. Could anybody show me an SPH example?

Regards,

Hi,

I too would be very interested in any SPH examples that you had managed to get hold of. There are plentyful examples of most LS-DYNA functions, but seemingly few on SPH.

Any material you have would be most appreciated.

Kind regards
Simon

Hi Simon,

Yes, there is little information in the manual. I found two articles in FEA newsletter discussion the implementation of SPH in LS-DYNA. I hope this may helpful to you.

Leon,

Thanks for your reply, and references. I think I know the ones you mean, that give a good introduction to the theory. Theres also a few good papers at . But, as i'm sure you find too, its much easier to get going if you have some working examples of k files to base your model on. Are you still interested in this topic, or have you moved on to other projects? If i get anywhere with this method, I could send you some samples if they were still useful.

Regards
Simon
