Hello,
I need to specify forces between the interacting faces of two bodies as shown below:
EM_Blocks_pjeiwo.jpg

It is a model similar to Electromagnetic Lock with the two blocks pulled together with a force equivalent of 200N.

[li]I tried using connector elements(Link and Join) but I can't specify the forces because these connector elements don't have any CORM available.I couldn't use other connector elements as I don't want to constrain the rotational freedom.[/li]
[li]Also since the parts are not structurally connected, I can't use pretension to load the assembly.[/li]
[li]I don't have the magnetic material properties with me so can't go through that method also.[/li]
[/ul]
Can someone please explain how can I specify the clamping force between the interacting face in Abaqus to model the above assembly?

What about connectors of type Axial or Cartesian?

@Mustaine3 Thanks for the help.
I updated the connector as axial type and it worked.
