Specific heat of water relation to water's Total disolved solids (Conductivity)

What is the Relation between the specific heat of water and the water content of TDS (conductivity)
 
We have a cooling tower which is circulating the water through the Aluminium casting machine.
we need to know how will the speciifc heat of the cooling water be affected by changing it's concentration of TDS (total disolved solids)?
 
How much TDS are you talking about? I'm having a hard time with the usual TDS levels in cooling water I've seen over the years that the effect on heat capacity is significant.

Are you saying that is because of the cycle-up of TDS (and non-dissolved solids) in the water, or the result of them being there by virtue of the fouling they cause on heat transfer surfaces in the cooling equipment.

If you take pure water and mix salt in it thereby driving up the TDS and the conductivity, you have virtually no effect on the heat capacity of the water. IF on the other hand, you dissolve enough of a substance in the water - think sugar - and drive up the TDS you have a different solution, a syrup solution and it is not basically water any more.
