Hi,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have been researching on the web and also have talke with 3 different electric motor repair shops to find out information about this motor no one seems to make anything like this or know where to find it. It is a 12V D/C permanent magnet electric motor that is used to drive an A/C compressor in a generator, this generator goes in semi-trucks. Can you guys help me out? I need to know where to buy one, where its made and maybe some help to develop one from scratch if needed.

The specs are below:

12V DC motor
2000 RPM
100 inch lb torque
85 amp draw at that speed
~155mm in diameter
7/8" keyed shaft
Permanent magnet
Soft start

Pictures are attached as well. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Also, as a side note, there are no markings or tags on this motor, and my customers vendor went out a business so we have no way of tracking where to get this item.

You can try TTA/C in Texas, they are pretty good at finding parts for DC AC units used fot trucks and heavy equipment.

DC Airco and Artic Breeze are a couple of other sources I know of. Do you know who the original packager of the system was, application and such. A lot of truck stops, especially in states with no idle laws are getting pretty good at APU's and DC cooling systems.

Hope that helps, Mike L.
