Spacing between a fire hydrant and industrial plant (Acid/Amine Plant)

I am concern about the distance between the fire hydrant and acid plant (source of the possible fire). This plant was built in 1960s and code is diferrent at that time. I have a project to put a containment wall around the acid tanks and as much as possible, do no want to relocate the fire hydrant due to cost. I remember there is a code in API but do not remember. The distance of the fire hydrant to the nearest tank is about 17'. Now that we have plans to put containment wall between the tank and the fire hydrant (the wall height is 3'), can I build the wall higher than 3' that passes between the tank and hydrant and avoid relocating the hydrant?

I don't see why you can't raise the wall locally, but I bet with the hydrant that close to the tank, it must be serving other tanks than the one closest to it. Other hydrants must be serving the closest tank, if you know what I mean. It can't be the only hydrant on the property.

Just depends what ruptures and/or burns as to what hydrant you are able to use.
