Spaceball vs. Spacetraveler

I've been looking at the spacetraveler since it is small and can be transported pretty easily. Does anyone have experience in how it compares to a spaceball? They appear to function similarly, but the traveler appears to be much smaller.

The traveller is far smaller (maybe a little over 3" dia), better for laptops, but the buttons aren't as usable as the regular spaceball. The traveller is circular, so you have to remember the position of the buttons. Plus, it doesn't cradle your hand the way the spaceball does. I still like it for all the view and part manipulation, though.

At work we have a SpacePilot, Spaceball 5000, and SpaceTraveler. I get to use the Spaceball 5000 and prefer it over the SpaceTraveller. The SpaceTraveller's rear buttons were awkward to easily use. But if portability is important, then get the SpaceTraveller because to be honest, I don't have all of the buttons programmed on the SpaceBall 5000 anyway so the rear buttons probably wouldn't be a big issue.

I like the ergonomics of the SpaceBall. Tried the SpaceTravler at a trade how & didn't like the "feel" of it. I imagine the Space Piolt would be a dissapointment also.
