Since the X-prise success I am surprised with the lack of apparent progress in this area. I blame the Federal GOvernment mostly as they have not made it a priority. Rules need to be written, standards etc. As a company that deals with aircraft approvals, spacecraft seams to be the next logical step. Any ideas on what strides could be taken to get into this future growth market?

That's odd, I've been impressed by the speed with which Rutan's group have moved.

Nigel,

From past experience with FAA dealings it will be a longtime coming before we see standards. I think Rutan's group did a great job but it's still in the R&D phase as I see it. This weekend I watched a program on Rutan's group getting ready for the X-competition. For starter, the type of training program for the pilot/astronaut....I see an extremely limited resource in that area. But the bottom line is Rutan's group have proved it can be accomplished.

Cheers
