Sophomore Engineering Student Intern Search Questions

Hello! I am one year into completing my Associates in Engineering Science. I am looking for general tips along the way as well as some direct tips on certain subjects. I don't know anything about internships or where I would begin to try and set one up. I have heard of programs that work with you going to school and would even help pay for school. I would like to make some synergy to create work experience and be more efficient in the education process. Next, I have applied for all of the scholarships that my school has to offer and got accepted for a few. Is there anywhere else I should be applying for scholarships? Are there any other methods that make things more cost effective or allow you to focus on school more?
