Hello,
We are doing carburising hardening some gear parts.
After tempering we do shotblasing of the parts.
Now, customer is insisting on 100% removal of soot from the parts. He also wants the part to look like steel grey and not blackish. The evaluation method is rubbing a tissue paper on the part and observing for black color.
We tried with different shot blasting time, but customer is not happy with the result.
Any suggestions to remove the black color or soot is welcome.
Thanks
