I recently read that Solidworks Vista does not support any 64bit version of Windows Vista. Is this true?

I'm about to upgrade to Windows Vista, and I'd like to take advantage of my 64bit processors.

Thanks

Question:
When will SolidWorks support the Microsoft® Vista® operating system?

Answer:
SolidWorks will release a production release compatible with this operating system, starting with 2007 SP3. This is currently scheduled for release in February 2007.

Note: Existing versions of SolidWorks 2007, and previous releases, compatible with Windows XP / x64, are NOT supported on Microsoft® Windows Vista®. With the release of 2007 SP3, a separate download or DVD will be required to install on Microsoft® Windows Vista®.

[cheers]

Using Vista with SolidWorks is still not recommended at this time. There will be compatability with the release of SP3.0. However there are a lot of pieces still missing from the puzzle. Examples being video card drivers etc. I would strongly suggest using XP 64bit as opposed to rushing into the Vista upgrade.
