We have been using solidworks since 2007 and recently upgraded from 2008 to 2009. We use toolbox in a shared folder and store our files with PDM works. From day one, I don’t think toolbox was installed correctly. We used to get errors that certain users had ownership of certain fasteners and we’ve had the really big fasteners issue. We have worked through that and have moved the database SWBrowser.mdb to a common folder on the server and deleted the folder \solidworks data from the individual machines and that solved the big fastener problem. Each machine still has a copy of the toolbox with folders of databases on it. Is this correct? My understanding is that the parts and databases should only be on the server and nothing from toolbox should be on the user machines. If we have to move the databases how does that affect our prior work?
