SolidWorks Surfacing

In previous versions of SolidWorks, I had learned to make a 'dome' with SolidWorks Surfacing - now there's this handy-dandy 'dome' feature. It's been around for several years, I think. What would the harm being using this 'dome' feature now? (It certainly is easier.)

No harm, or it wouldn't be still there.
It depends on the shape of the dome. In surfacing you may generate a cleaner dome tangent to the other surfaces.
