I have a large assembly using speedpaks for the subassemblies. I need to be able to save the subassemblies in the parent configuration, not the speedpak, because we view models and drawings in edrawings and the speedpaks don't display correctly in edrawings. In the subassemblies, whenever I switch from the speedpak to its parent configuration. I get the 'SpeedPak is out of date' warning triangle. Is there any way to solve this? I update the speedpak and it is no longer out of date, but as soon as I switch to the parent configuration to save the file, it becomes out of date.

Question:

Why is a Speedpak configuration marked with a warning "Speedpak is out of date" after performing a Ctrl-Q?

Answer:

When performing a forced regeneration (Ctrl-Q), the entire model is rebuilt and marked as changed. This is indicated by the asterisk (*) beside the document name in the menu bar. The Speedpak configuration detects this model change, so it is marked as being out of date.

There are some other hits at the SW knowledge base, but they all seem to be nearly the same thing. So I suppose its possible this maybe related to what your seeing. I would contact your VAR and confirm this with SW.
