Solidworks Search Anyone??? 2

I used solidworks (windows desktop) search in SW07. I just installed SW08 and can't get it to index right. I added the network locations ( we save all of our work on a sever so all designers can accsess models) same as i did in 07 but it still isn't working. It worked perfectly in SW07. I would just type the saved file in and drawing and part would both pop up instantly. I unistalled and reinstalled the search tool. I've ajusted indexing paths in SWExplorer, SW, and Windows Desktop Search. Nothing seems to work. So my question is... Has anyone got the search tool to actually index anything other than there PC? Because i'm at my wits end here. I need to be ablr to find parts on the server with ease. Thanks!

There appears to be some discrepancy as to whether WDS will work on networked drives. I've read that it won't, and also haven't been able to get it to work. I do recall it working at one point though.
