Solidworks path mate

Hi. I'm trying to make a rotating cam to move a shaft linearly with path mate. The problem is that the vertex is fixed and the path should follow the vertex!!! And it seems that it's impossible to do that (see attached image). Can someone help. Thanks.View attachment 1551
