I'm relatively new to FEA in general, and completely new to NEiWorks. For the project I'm working on now, I created an assembly, which is basically a giant cabinet resting on springs. When I inputted spring components to connect the cabinet to the bottom plate, and ran analysis, the spring componenets did not move. They did not compress at all, and instead stayed straight up, while the assembly moved around them. I don't know if that means the springs aren't actually connected to the part, or if the springs just don't compress when it's an assembly. (I made two very basic models, one that was one part with springs in it, and the exact same shape with springs but instead as an assembly. When I applied a force, the springs from the single part compressed, but the springs in the assembly stayed straight.) Any ideas?
