Hi all,

Any idea whether Patran 2004 can be integrated with Solidworks 2004? If so, how would one set this integration up?

Thanks,

Phoenix221,

Depends what you mean by integration... I've only ever used Solidworks as a quick way for generating 3D geometry for meshing in Patran. If that's all you want to do, then saving the Solidworks model as a parasolid (.xmt) and importing this parasolid into Patran has always been a robust way of going about this for me.

Hope this helps

I will be doing most of my modeling in the Solidworks environment using surface features. Meshing/material/composite layer specifications in Patran...
