I'm using solidworks 2004 on windows xp pro with 2 gig.

My problem is when I'm in a drawing, after zooming in to do details, the "zoom to fit" button will place a 1/2 sized drawing in the lower right side of the window even though it started out as a full sized drawing sheet. I zoom in ok but when I try the zoom to fit button my sheet goes to 1/2 size in the lower corner. the first 5-6 sheets had no problems, and the zoom to fit worked on them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check around the outer edges of the display (Left, Top & Right) to see if there is any geometry out there. It could be a point, or tiny circle or ?. Easiest way is to zoom out further & window select everything on the screen. Any errant geometry should then show up.

[cheers] & all the best.

I have also ran into this problem, and in my case one of the drawing views is actually larger than the sheet size. Example is when you break a view, sometimes it doesn't work right. I think if you delete this view and re-do it, it will work.

Creating a section view where part of the section view (that I did not need to display) extended beyond the drawing borders has caused this problem for me in the past.

...or check to see if any views are hidden. Select views in manager and check for highlights in dwg.
