I would like to simulate the heat flow in a closed stainless steel chamber ( internal analysis ) .

1st question : For a start I should try Solidworks Simulate or Flow Simulate ?
2nd q: How can i configure the heating element ( it is a coil shape resistance that goes up to 270 degrees ) that is ventilated by round shaped fan .

My objective is to see where are the weak parts in the chamber , where we obtained the smallest temperature?

Any advice is highly appreciated.

Thanks.

I would use Flow Simulation. There are too many rounds of calculating bulk temperature to dal with Solidworks Simulation. The meshing in Flow Simulation is finite volume instead of finite element. It is much easier to mesh finite volume.

1. Is the load a wattage or a constant temp?
2. Flow Simulation has built in fan models you can use.
