Does SOLIDWORKS have boolean features of add subtract etc?

Yes, but they don't call it boolean. You create your two solids in one part. When creating the second solid, be sure "merge part" is unchecked. When left unchecked, you can have multiple independant bodies within a single part file.

You can then Right click on a body (I usually do this from the FeatureManager tree under "bodies") and click "combine."

You then have three options (from the help files):

<LI =kadov-p>

Add. Combines solids of all selected bodies to create a single body.
<LI =kadov-p>

Subtract. Removes overlapping material from a selected main body.
<LI =kadov-p>

Common. Removes all material except that which overlaps.
boolean is only reserved for polygon geometry.
