All,
We have come across an issue where SW's c'bore dimensions do not match the diameters of any common bought c'bore tools. Has anyone noticed this? or are we missing something? The companies concern is that we are adding cost by forcing a machine shop to iterpulate a bore or use an uncommon diameter tool to cut the c'bore.....

Why don't you just custom size the counter bores?

That way when you call it out on a drawing, it will have the correct dims.

Which hole standard are you using? Metric/Inch, JIS/ISO, etc.

You can modify the hole wizard standards database to create your c'bores however you want.

We are refering to the Metric & Inch.

Oh yeah we now we can customize the database, I was kinda curious how other were dealing with this mismacth issue... As I see from just the two responses I got, that customizing may need to be the path we take. It's just one more in the long line of standards we had to customize in SW.....

We've all been there. SolidWorks can't fit all company standards.
I don't use the default C'Bores in SW, I have always created custom.
