SolidWorks & 3d Gaming on a Notebook?

I'm toying with the idea of custom ordering a notebook.
I want to be able to run SolidWorks without problems.
But - I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO be able to play serious 1^st person shooter games like these:
Unreal or possibly Jedi Outcast .

Between projects, that is ;-)
I would greatly appreciate any input.
Which video cards are good for both?
What about the processor speed?
You get the idea...

I just bought my Dell Laptop.

Its a 1.8 Ghz
Geforce 4 440 32 MB
512 MB RAM
30 Gig HD
15" LCD screen
DVD, CDR, CDRW all in one CD drive

I love this little beast. I play Quake on it when I'm not near my Desktop and it holds up fine for that. I have ran some decent sized assmeblies on it and it seems to be fine.

I only payed $1820 for it, brand new.

I'll always own a dell from now on....better than any crappy Gateway I have ever seen

Generally, I find that video cards that were designed for CAD work well with CAD and games, but cards designed for games are horrible (I am being generous here) for CAD.

Here are some laptops that use video cards that were designed for CAD applications:

IBM ThinkPad A30P with an ATI Mobility FireGL 7800
Dell Precision M40 with a nVidia Quadro 2Go
Dell Precision M50 with a nVidia Quadro 500 GoGL
