I have the oppertunity to upgrade from 2001 to 2001+ and I would like to know if you can set the options to save as 2001 in order to distribute to other versions of solidworks.

No can do. They are not backwards compatible. DimensionalSolutions@Core.com

Unless you want dumb solids. You would have to save it off as Parasolids. Then you could bring it into older versions of SW, but you couldn't make any changes.

You can make changes, you just won't have any features in your Feature Manager. [wink] "The attempt and not the deed confounds us."

Use parasolid format then use Features Works to trace back the features. (*Not 100%)
