Hello
I am using Samba 3.035 as a file server for our fellow engineers running the newly upgraded version 18. We are having problems with not being able to save to our Samba server while opening a file running SE 18. No other application we use, IE. Word, AutoCad etc has this problem. It's isolated to Solid Edge. It's been progressively getting worst since version 14, version 18 being the worst to the point it's not allowing us to save any files back to the Samba network share.
I was wondering if anyone would post there Samba configuration file or share if they have certain options turned on/off such as:
share modes
locking
strict locking
oplocks
kernel oplocks
fake oplocks
blocking locks
veto oplock files
lock directory
(these are YES and NO settings)
As outlined here:
There are no security issues, as our Samba server is set to access (user)everyone both read/write permission, and again, other applications have no problems opening, editing and saving files back to the Samba server such as WORD, EXCEL, AutoCad 2004 etc...only Solid Edge.
