I've downloaded SolidWorks2003. I use Microsoft XP pro. While the installation, it happens a severe error VBAI60: 536878915. I downloaded many version of Solidworks 2001 and 2003 and the same errors happen everytime, what can I do to solve that ?

blatte,
Use the SolidWorks CD from your VAR. Bradley

The most common problem with the install is to forget to turn off your virus checker.
When I do any installs I sweep the drive and reboot, then use task manager to turn off everything not needed to actually do the install. The reboot to return to normal operation.
Another problem we have with XP has been cured by clearing the prefetch directory every reboot.

SnowCrash,

What is the prefetch directory and how do you clear it? Since XP is derived more from NT than Win 95/98 is there something similar to this in the versions of NT and should we do something with it?

TIA,

In the directory vba, rename vba6.msi by vba6fr.msi !
