Hi

Can someone out there give me some advice about solid hatch transparency. Is it possible on 2008. A colleague works on Photoshop and cad. He would like to use the drawing commands on cad so by importing a photo he can put solid hatches on it but wants to make it transparent to still see the brickwork behind it.

Any info would be appreciated

The process I use is this:

Open layer manager and select the layer that your hatch pattern will be on. For a color select one of the True Colors and adjust the luminance setting to as light as you want.

Set the layer to current and hatch your object. Now save that hatch to a different file and reference it in. Set that reference file to the background using your display order.

I am using 2007 and found that if the hatch pattern is in your file you can't set it to the background. Well you can, but it will still print over your other objects. In order to make it stay in the background you have to save it to a reference file.

Maybe 2008 is different.

Hope that helps.
