How do I put a gap between dimension extension lines & part in draft setting ( other than grabbing & dragging) i.e. can you pre-set the stand off?

Hi,

using the Style ANSI (either one) it's default. For other
styles get into Format -- style - choose the style to
modify -- press modify. Select tab 'Lines and Coordinates'
and modify the item 'Element Gap' to suit your needs
