Hi all,

I'm looking for solution to export Solid Edge to ProE and/or Solidworks.

I know I can save as stp or parasolids but I'm looking for suggestions on stuff like 3rd party plugins that can handle the job either on the Solid Edge end or ProE or Solidworks end of it.

The built in translator that works with ProE won't work for us because of the version of ProE we're running (Wildfire 4). I think it also just converts it to a step file anyway.

I would like to try to find something that will retain the geometry in the edgebar that are created when building a part.

Any thoughts will be greatly appriciated.

Thanks

Superslinky, I dont' know of any translator for any 3D CAD software that keeps the feature history if that's what you mean. Some software has some feature recognition/editing capability - in fact that sounds like a big part of synchronous technology - but actually keeping the entire feature tree is a big ask.

If you just need to share data you could look at JT or something. Again sychronous in V21 is meant to help.

KENAT, probably the least qualified checker you'll ever meet...
