I have heard rumours that the company I am working at will be moving from SE to NX sometime in the future.
What is the compatibility between SE and NX?
Does NX open SE parts, assemblies and drafts without loss of intelligence?

Where would we be without sat-nav?

Not to take this off topic, but I still have a plan to work out to bring in two seats of SpaceClaim to complement Solid Edge, NX, and ANSYS.

Solid Edge and Synch Tech is just a liberating technology for me. We still get a Grade A drafting and documentation tool, but can handle geometry formats from just about anywhere -- as if they were native. I really can't see how someone with SE thinks the grass would be greener at this point in CAD software development. SpaceClaim would just be used as an easy-to-use intermediary for some file types and also for our analysts.

Scott, just wanted to say thanks again.

I sent some information to your 'resource' a couple of weeks back, and am interested to see what he comes up with.

We had plenty of telephone conferences and an appshare (he gave a presentation remotely). It helps having an external expert restate everything you've been saying. People tend to listen to outsiders for some reason.
