Did you create in 2D or 3D model which you created a drawing from.

If in 2D did you use the model sheet or straight on the draft?

If yes to either, and assuming you drew at 1:1 why would you not want to scale? In fact if I understand what you are saying then fundamentally you want to scale it, say make it 2:1 instead of 1:1.

Select the view, up in the ribbon bar should be a scale setting. From the pull down select your preffered scale (you can create your own unique scale if need be).

hi i done it on draft but when you print off its small i want to blow it up an keep all the same dimension. when you scale it to fit the draft sheet it changes the dimensions. i just want to know how to blow it up so it will fit the draft sheet. (sorry not very god at explaining)

say youve drawn a 100mm by 100mm box on draft it will show it small. i want to keep it 100 by 100 but i want it to fil the draft sheet so its big drawing but without changing the dimensions if you scale the dimension change i want to keep 100 by 100

So if I understand correctly you've done it in 2D straight onto the draft sheet. There isn't really a good way to handle this the way you've done it.

So, you probably want to put it onto the model sheet, you should be able to cut & paste it.

You will then be able to create a view which you can then scale.

Hit the "2D Model View" button (between parts list and smart dimension) it will give you the option to switch to 2D model sheet. Paste your drawing here at 1:1.

Go back to sheet 1 and creat your view using the same button.

Use the help, 2-D should get you a bunch of info.

Hi,
in addition what KENAT already has written:

there should also be a tutorial 'Creating 2D Drawings with Solid Edge'
which oulines how to do a draft *without* a 3D-Model.

The most important point is: teh scale of the ModelSheet must be left
at 1:1 otherwise you will be in trouble later on when cerating a
(scaled) view

Thanks Don, couldn't remember if there was a tutorial for this or I was going to suggest it.
