Solar Pool Heater Calculation

Hello all;
Hopefully this is the correct location for this post. I am trying to compute the length of need for black Poly pipe for my solar pool heater. I can calculate the flow velocity and hydraulics, however, I am not sure where to look to obtain information regarding solar heat transfer to the water. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Worry first about the heat transfer caused by latent transfer from the pool, it is large even at low air velocities. Then you can calculate the HX size.

ASHRAE has a chapter on pool design.

Ok, forgive my ignorance. But where can I obtain a copy of that book/pool chapter? Is it available for download or must I purchase the book? I will search around for the purchase option. Thanks for the reply, however.

The amount of pipe will depend on how much pool you're trying to heat, by how much, and how much heat loss you sustain during non-heating time.
