SOL601 Convergence / Incremental Loading

I am quite new to non-linear analysis and NX.
I have a large displacement and contact problem and the solution fails at big loads while it converges at very small loads. Can I apply loads gradually so that the solution converges and if yes how?

I know that that there is a Load vs Time setting but I can't figure it out.

 
Hello!,
If you run an Advanced Nonlinear Analysis (SOL601) then you need to associate your loading to a time curve, Loads should always be made time dependent!!. In nonlinear static analysis, time-varying loads are used to apply incremental load to help solution convergence.
In the load From the Specify Field list, select Table Constructor and define a ramp curve from (0.,0.) to (1,1).
• In the Domain group, on the Independent tab, select Time from the Domain list. Time is now the independent variable.
• In the box under the Data Points table, type 0,0 for the first data point.
• Type 1,1 for the second data point.

Thanks a lot Blas. I actually did the same exact thing an hour ago and worked like a charm. Its my first proper nonlinear simulation and i have managed to include large desplacement, temperature loading to induce pre-tension and contact conditions mostly due to iberisa.com tips.
