Soil Structure Interaction (SSI) Using SAP 2000

Has anyone performed an SSI using SAP 2000 or any other software for that matter?

I have always designed foundation with modelling soil as compression only springs. What are you modelling?

I'm looking at a reinforced concrete retention dam.

You can do it. Find spring stiff at bottom based on mudulus of sub grade reaction as given in geo report. Find spring stiff on side walls (Horizontal springs)based on Ka

I have not done any analysis myself, but it has been done for my projects using 'CLASSI' analysis. As far as I remember, it was quite an old fashioned tool, bt there seems to exist a more up-do date Windows version at
