Can anyone suggest a good software program that would help in making P&ID diagrams? Features that I'd like are: equipment list, connection from sheet to sheet and keeping track of these connections, organizing instruments by their function, etc. I'm using MS Visio and I have reached its limits. TIA

autoplant is a "front-end" to autocad that will what you describe.

A easy way to do p&id s is with visio(process engineering template included)
