Is there any option to give soft seat in Butterfly valves with Buttweld Ends?

Yes. Such valves do exist. Product is regularly used in sanitary market. Also common for cryogenic applications.

Okay, but does it conform to any face to face standard, because in API 609, they haven't mentioned any buttweld end dimensions. So it is manufacturer's standard?

I believe it's the critical to verify with Vendor and confirm the face-to-face dimension of the butterfly valve manufacturer to ensure the proper piping design and installation.

Okay. Thank you for the replies bcd and mk3223 :)

I have a recollection that the responsibility for the PTFE seats not to melt when the valve is welded into the line lies with the manufacturer.

From memory Velan manufacture this valve with a cryogenic stem extension and access hatch, might be worth a look?
