Hello,

In a mirror hingle assembly with several components and contacts between them, when I apply displacement load at a frame rod location the results(stress patterns and failure prediction) is very different from when I apply a distributed force load in the same direction and location. I am using abaqus solver. Does a complex assembly with several contacts defined fall into the category of snap-back behavior and so force control method is the better approach ? Please guide me on this.

Thanks in advance,
Lalith
