I am designing a SMPS using IC 78S40. I have gone through its data sheet but in it the quiscent current is assumed to be negligible while deriving the design equations.

What considerations will I have to make if I have to take the quiscent current into account?I think it will affect the power dissipation . Will it affect something else also?
