Smoke Control in Hospitals

I am working on the design of a 200 beds hospital and reviewing NFPA 101 Chapter 18 to identify where to have smoke control system in the hospital. Currently I am having it in an atrium and in the corridors of the inpatient rooms floors. I need to do the minimum required by the code. Is this complying or not.

Too far to compliance with. Remember this is hospital CSA 317.2 or state equivalent must be compliant with, like refugee area, ICU units etcneed smoke control too. I don't think electrical engineer can handle that. Good luck

Can anyone comment on the requirement of when smoke control system is required?
Is the requirement specified in NFPA or international building code, etc. or the requirement depends on the local code?

This is healthcare. I would check NFPA 99.

The adopted building code will also dictate when either passive or active smoke control systems are required.
