Smart Grid / Which Forum to Use???? 1

I assume that I am not the only U.S. utility engineer that has been "reassigned" and tasked to implement a Smart Grid project. I am curious if this is the proper forum to post such questions, as many will include automation and telecommunication elements not typically posted in a Power Engineering Forum. If this is not a good forum for such posts, does anyone know of another forum that has been created for such automation and telecommunication questions related to Smart Grid implementations?

Speaking only for myself, I think this forum is as good as choice as any. There are several utility engineers and utility consultants who monitor this forum. A forum titled "Smart Grid" would likely attract a lot of marketing types. If the forum starts to get overrun with threads on this topic (which I doubt), a new forum can always be started later.

I'd agree. If a lot started to occur here then a new forum would be in order. Time will tell.
