How do you cut the "modify box" on when in sketch mode or dim. part?

What do you mean Cut the modify box? If your talking about making the Input Dimension box smaller you can't. You will have to increase your Resolution.

If you are asking how to prevent the Input Dimension or Modify Dimension box from popping up after you dimension something do this:

Tools-> Options-> System Options-> General tab

Uncheck "Input dimension value"

If you are trying to access the "modify box" after a dimension is made, simply double click the dimension.
