Hi Folks...

I am looking for a motorized rotatable polarizer stage/mount. I need my polarizers (and waveplates) to be able to rotate every 45 degrees, driven by motors of course. However, the module's outer diameter should not exceed 1 inch or so and the clear aperture should be at least half inch or so in diamter.

My goal is to measure the Mueller matrix of a surface. Unpolarized light first hits a linear polarizer (LP), then a quarter-wave-plate (QWP) and becomes circularly polarized; after being reflected by the sample surface, the scattered light will pass a QWP then a LP with appropriate relative orientations. This process will be repeated at various incident and viewing angles and thus necessitates the automatic controls of the LP/QWP rotations.

There are various eletro-(acousto-) optical modulators out there, but all seem too bulky for my applications.

Anyone has clues? Thanks!
