small Dual UART needed

Thank You for your fast reply,
but a TQFP socket would be more expensive than the UART IC itself and it takes nerly as much space as an PLCC socket. We finaly have decided to use a Dual UART in 44Pin PLCC. The socket is cheaper, has nearly the same dimensions and is easier to handle in production. But sometimes it seems to me that nowadays the price is all that matters...
