Hi All,

I am working in Water treatment company . We are designing small treatment plan which involve various small size tanks.
1. Condition tank ; Capacity 5000L tank with a mixer installed on it . it is a 50 degree conical bottom tank and have very little internal pressure ( 4 inch of Water column). However it have mixer installed.

There are there stainless steel tanks for chlorination and oxidation which designed for 4 bar internal pressure with capacity of 2500L.

I am just wondering - is there any guidelines/standard to select correct material thickness ,leg supports & mixer support system ?

thank you for help

In the US, the first tank would generally be furnished as a non-code shop built tank. The other tanks would fall under the ASME pressure vessel code.
For the first tank, there are various codes that could be applied partially. API-650 doesn't include the cone bottom like that, API-620 isn't set up for shop-built tanks, etc.
