I'm having problems with a slurry pump. Used to pump waste material from line stone. Suction side works properly for a few days, then stops working. Have checked impeller, packing, drive belts, etc., all in great condition. Any ideals would help, thanks.

You did not provide much info.

Does it have a flooded suction?

Pump is attached to a box tank and self feeds the pump.

When you check it out, where do you find problems? Or do you shrug and start it up and it runs?

Air in the pumped product.

Lime slurry is particularly dfficult as it scales and lumps break off and compromises the suction.
