i'm working in DRP(Direct Reduction Plant) and we have wate water treatment unit to remove the direct reduce iron fines from the water by means of clarifier. The pipe line of the dedusting system always geting blocked because of high TSS. we increase the fluculant dosing rate to the clarifier to reduce the TSS content in the outlet of it but didn't help us that much. Is there other way to overcome the issue to prevent this from happing again?

Advise me please.

hi there
you were asking about the TSS (total suspended soild)
this will restrict the water flow in pipe line.
thank in advance for your concern.

What percentage of solids, size, SG, flow rate , pipe diameter etc- we don't have a crystal ball to see what your installation looks like - more detail if you need help.

From limited info so far probably velocity in your pipline is too low and the solids are settling out.

Pump your mixture via a hydro cyclone separator unit or incorporate a centrifuge in the system or use both.

Have you considered various forms of magnetic separation? Magnetic flocculation might improve your clarifier.
