Sloppy Mate

I am trying to mate a guide to a path on a rod. The Rod is Ø.500" and the Guide is bored to Ø.625. The Guide should be able to float along the rod at any angle, and at any axis, until interferance occurs between the parts. How do I create this mate. Path mate limits me to a point along a path which limits the tilt of the guide to one axis point.
