Sloped Roofs: Cantilevers

Whenever I slope a roof, I can't cantilever off the the side to make an overhang. Orginally I assumed that sloped roofs could not model overhangs. Then recently I realized that it works if I modeled the entire roof flat with the overhangs AND THEN sloped the roof.

Was I having this problem because the cantilevers would be cantilevered into a negative elevation offset for the end node? Or is it a hard and fast rule that sloped members aren't aloud to be cantilevered?

This is a limitation on the creation of sloped floors. It is relatively easy to slope a floor that starts out as flat. Even if it has cantilevers or weird offsets and such.

But, once it is sloped then adding in cantilevers gets really tricky.... Think about multi-sloped roofs like hip and gable roofs. The program would have to do a lot more error checking to allow this. It may allow this one day, but not in the first release that included sloped floors.
