We are having slipway with slope 1:14 and we want to pull a vessel weighing 100 tons weight.
The vessel is mounted on two trolleys having four wheels.
Pl let us know what should be the winch capacity to pull this vessel.

Ok.
If the vessel is pulled on the slipway, then :
Slope = Atan (1/14) = 4.08°
Rolling factor = 0.1
P=100T = 100000DAN
F = (100000*cos4.08*0.1)+(100000*sin4.08)
F=17090DAN = 18Tons = minimal winch capacity.
