sliding stem valve assembly

Would a manual globe or gate valve with actuator be classified as a sliding stem valve assembly?

It depends on the type of actuator & stem assembly for the valve.
But, the manual globe or gate valves are normally with the "screw" stem, not the "sliding " stem.
